Can I just start by saying, GOD IS SO GREAT! What a blessing it is to be a part of such a wonderful Christ-centered community and such a radical journey for Jesus! I am so pumped to serve on this life changing journey that God has placed before me.
Hey y’all!
My name is Collins, some call me CMcB! I was accepted onto the World Race about a week ago and I could not be more excited and overwhelmed all at one time! There is so much that needs to be done between now and launch, it’s almost as if my brain is going 100 mph all over the place! What should I say in my support letters? What’s a blog? How does one blog? How do I make a 10 second video about myself look cool? What kind of fundraisers will I have? What shots do I need? How do I pack? What am I doing right now?!
Whoaaaa Collins!
So I take a step back for a second and really ask myself, What is my purpose here in the first place? The entire purpose of my being here is to live for Christ Jesus and Him alone. Over and over in scripture God asks us to put our faith and trust in Him and He will guide and protect us along the way. THIS IS HUGE! Why am I even stressing over all of these details and deadlines instead of putting my faith and trust in the Lord that He will give me the guidance and strength that I need to prepare myself for this wonderful journey?!
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” I Thessalonians 5:16-18
Please pray for me that I will remember that, always! And that I will stay focused on the real reason why I am here, not on the petty little things. God is so much greater than all things, AIN’T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR PETTY LITTLE DISTRACTIONS! 🙂
