To every Christian {no matter where your walk of faith is at now}:

You are a child of God. Nothing can change you being an heir. Even when we turn our backs to God and have doubts about His existence, this doesn’t change us being children of God. You are a child of God now, and you will always be a child of God. Always.

Do you know why? Because one day in the past you had a moment where sin and the world were working against you putting Christ first in your life, and God defeated all other forces. You made that decision to trust Jesus Christ to be the center of your life. The world we live in is a broken world and yet a miracle happened that day and the people in Heaven celebrated because they gained another brother in Christ not just for that moment but forever.

So, what are you chasing after currently? Being Christian isn’t about feelings of adequacy or even simply living a life to the best of your abilities without sin. It is about understanding our inadequacies so we allow God to turn the broken parts of our life to enrich our hearts with the fullness of God’s love and a life full of the unknown to rely on His strength. Just turn to God with all the toils in your heart right now. God doesn’t want us to just come to Him with hearts of praise, but heavy hearts; He wants to hear from His sons and daughters. God wants you to turn to Him even if it’s only about frustrations and doubts. Let God strengthen every ounce of who He wants you to be. It’s only through being broken down to elements of weakness we can rely on God’s strength instead of our own.

Look back and truly think about the moments God has changed your life. This is the evidence of the Holy Spirit alive in you then and He is still alive in you now. Without the brokenness and hurt in our life we wouldn’t be able to truly experience an application of the gospel in our own lives. So yes, when we have doubts and trials the gospel isn’t a one-punch time card, it’s a process. It’s a process for us to dig a little deeper to the depth of a gospel showing unconditional love and grace through our own life. Think about it though, isn’t that a beautiful thing? We don’t get to experience grace and love once but God gave us the Holy Spirit to experience everything you are going through with us. God is looking down from heaven now and thinking, “ You are enough, not through your own means but through mine.” with who you are today. Do you believe this?

Right now pray to God. Pray to Him even if all you have to say is the frustrations and lack of understanding of His character on your heart. Pray to Him if you feel hurt by the amount of trials this world has given you. Pray to Him if you don’t even know what to say. Pray to God even if you are unsure of His existence, because you know what? God more than anything just wants to hear from His son or daughter.
