Our month has come to an end , and this will be one of the toughest sites to leave. The kids love us and we love them as well. I’ve seen what power love holds this month more than any other. The kids were shy to me in the beginning, but as soon as i showed them kindness and love they returned it 10 fold. Love speaks here where language barriers prevent words.
Since being here, there have been more than 5 new kids who have come to live in the orphanage. Each ones story is tragic. No parents, abuseve parents, or grandparents who can no longer keep up. They are the lost and forgotten of the world. The unwanted except that Christ still wants them, and they all have a place to go because a man named Vandy followed the call God put on his life to give other kids what he never had. A loving father. Vandys deep gladness of being a father meets the worlds deep hunger of fatherless children who want and need the love of Christ. He’s done this for ten years now and has seen hundreds of kids come through his care. This is a kingdom impact player. What love the Father has for Vandy. So much so that Vandy can pour out every day to over thirty kids, a wife, and two kids of his own. What a blessed man and a blessed house. I’m glad to have been able to know him and i look forward to seeing him again.
