God has a mysterious way of working. He ceazes to amaze me as He profoundly reminds me of what He wants to do in our lives.

Charles Prescott Mau, the man I have known as my grandpa since I was two, passed away September 27th. After a brief and courageous battle with liver cancer, he went peacefully to be with his Savior. He was forever a teacher, willing and wanting to pass on his wisdom and knowledge. My sister and I were fortunate to share many fun memories with him since being little girls. Anyone who knew him and will miss him, will remember his chuckle, his tenderness and silliness with grandma, and his big heart. He was a loyal and faithful friend, he cared deeply for his pals and family. When you became his family or friend, it was for life!

In his last few days, while he was getting his estate in order, he was also concerned about our trip and plans. Even till the end, he was concerned for everyone and taking care of them. Just as he requested, his services have gone according to plan. The second one will be October 30th, where we will gather to celebrate his life and impact. In lieu of flowers he has asked family and friends to donate to our trip or one other christian organization.

I am curious to see how God wants to continue to work through grandpa Charles’ life and death. I am honored and humbled as people pray about giving to our trip. God keeps reminding me that He wants to provide for us, I just had no idea it would be in this way.

Thank you gramma Freda for honoring us in this way. Thank you for giving others the opportunity to be blessed by getting involved.

Charles Prescott Mau will always be loved and missed by his family. But he left behind a legacy of love to follow in. One we are very grateful for.
