been living here for about 10 years now and love it! i was born and
raised in tokyo, japan as a missionary kid and lived there until i was
18. after graduating high school over there, i decided to head off to
europe for a year of bible school. i spent 6 months in sweden and then 2 months in
austria, as well as traveling all around western europe and the middle
east. after my year in europe, i moved to southern california to
attend biola university. at biola, i was a phys ed major and have spent
the last 6 years teaching PE. i love my job bec i actually get paid to
teach/play sports, be outside, and work with kids. i also enjoy
coaching some of the different sports at my school. i coach boys
basketball, girls soccer and girls flag football. Some of my interests
include surfing, playing basketball, taking my choc lab to the beach,
karaoke, camping with friends, road trips, spending time at my uncle’s
ranch in montana, and of course traveling the world. i have traveled to
25 countries already and some of my favorite places have been morocco,
egypt, czech, austria, and indo. i am also a huge fan of survivor and my sisters boyfriend is on the current season (i am a little bitter they picked him over me). i have two older sisters. tasha is
married with 4 kids and has moved back to japan with her family.
sheryce is an english teacher and lives abut 40 min from me, so i get
to see her all of the time. my parents are still going strong over in
japan and have been there for over 30 years now. i am really excited
about this amazing opportunity to be a part of the world race.
