I might
have WHAT!?!?
(Mom, not to worry…. I’m feeling fine!)
A few days ago, about mid-day, I started getting really
weak and as the day went on, it got worse. Then my stomach started in. A headache. Slight back pain….
The first response: REST! I did that. I laid down for a
total of 14 hours and tried to sleep. I was going in and out of sleep and
prayer the whole time involuntarily. My spirit was taking over. When I first
hit my tent, I was a bit scared because I haven’t been sick in a year or two
but knew that God had it all under control.
When I woke in the morning, I felt about 80%. I wasn’t as
weak but my stomach was still pretty bad. Nothing was settling right…. After a
few hours had passed, I started getting weak again. Throughout the day, my body
was a rollercoaster.
Willy P. came over to see us last night and he prayed over
me. He said that it would be best to go get checked out in the morning. I woke
up this morning and pained over a PB sandwich for 20 minutes, wrote a few
e-mails and then headed out!
Well, we just got back from the hospital and got everything
sort of figured out! Haha We got there, purchased our Health Passport for 20
Kwatcha (8¢ or so) and the nurse came to see us. After telling her my symptoms,
this is what she said, “The testing center is having electrical problems. They
aren’t open today. It seems that you may have malaria. I will give you pills
for malaria and gastroenteritis to take care of it.â€� YIKES!!!! hahaha The medications are really strong and it’s great that they decided to give them to me anyways because they will kill whatever it is quickly! Praise God!
Malaria or not, I trust that the Lord has already healed me
and know that I am well!
As for now, I feel stronger, and have no headache or back pains! My
stomach is still a bit messed up but I have had worse problems before!
PRAISE GOD that He is ALREADY working toward healing!!! My spirits are high and I’m on the way to being 100%!!! I’m just
ready to be able to eat and hold it in my stomach long enough to be comfortable and sleep all night!
Pray with me as I fight through this! No worries, because
our Lord has it all in His hands and His love NEVER FAILS!!!
