God Is Love
Well, today (11/10/2010), I went with Jeremy and Shannon to
the doctor. As I waited out in the ‘waiting room’ for the docs to do their
thing, I chatted with Willy P., whom is one of the most fun guys that I have
ever been around and SO FULL of the Spirit that it’s almost unbelievable. The
whole time that I was talking with Willy, there was a lady sitting next to me.
Well, Willy likes our music a lot, so I got out my iPhone and proceeded to let
him hear a song. The song was, “God is Love� by Jonathan David Helser (check it
out!!!). As the song got to the part that says, “God is love! God is love! I
won’t be afraid! God is love! God is love! Nothing is impossible!�, I’m pretty
sure that the woman understood it…. She started getting real irritable and
couldn’t sit still. After a bit, she almost began to cry. I was wondering what
was going on and finally she reached up to Willy, handed him a bag and said,
“Take it. Take it away. Take it away. I don’t want it anymore…. Take it from
me.� As I took a closer look, I noticed that she was hammered drunk and it was
liquor.
Who would have known!? Through a short conversation between
two friends, God would use a simple song, in a foreign language, to break
through to a woman’s heart!
I wonder what happened next….
