Well, I have found out what we are doing now!!!!
Team ‘Last Place’ and team ‘Truth’ is working with H.I.M.
(Harvesters International Ministries).
Last night, we met the three men that will be working with 6
World Race teams. They are Medson who works in the South (where we are), Harvey
who works in the Central area of Malawi and Antony who works in the Northern
region. As these men spoke, my spirit was FIRED UP!!!! To tell you the truth, I
wasn’t looking forward to Africa much but when they started telling us about
H.I.M., I was jumping inside because of their heart for the Lord and these
people here. One of the coolest things that these men said is, “We want you to
be honest with us and let us know where we fail, where we do things well and
what we can improve. We want to hear it all because we need each other and can
help each other out so much to be the most effective in bringing the Gospel to
the people of Malawi. That BLEW ME AWAY!!! I told them that that was EXTREMELY
encouraging because in many many churches in America, that is never voiced. In
many businesses or other things, we would NEVER say that! Our pride is nothing
when it collides with the true love of Christ! That one statement says A LOT
about these men!!! It alone makes me want to just sit and listen to their
wisdom.
H.I.M. works to bring the Gospel to every corner of Malawi.
They bring it to the bush and to the college kids. They bring it to the
civilized and the ‘uncivilized’. They build relationships and let the Lord do
what He does, love His children! Once they have seen some come to know Jesus,
they will equip a few leaders, plant a church (at a house or in a community
meeting place, wherever Christ leads) and get them connected to a ‘mother
church’. It is a great network of believers that they connect together. As I
was talking to the guys last night, it is MUCH like the house church that I was
able to take part of over the past few years (in college and while coaching)!!!
Please begin to pray with us as we partner with H.I.M.
ministries!
Love,
colby
