Hey there!
We have landed in Santo Domingo safe and sound! Everyone is with ALL of their luggage, praise God! On the way, I sat next to a man from Texas and had a great time speaking with him about what God is up to and each flight was full of joy… and a few nods!
By the way, their keyboards are CRAZY different! haha
We are staying at a nice compound and actually have beds! We will be there no longer than Thursday before we move to Haiti! Also, our route schedule has changed. We are going Haiti, DR, Ireland, Europe, Africa, then Asia then back to you!
For a few funnies, they have many Texas influences! The Dominicans make me proud! haha They have Texaco, Old El Paso Tortillas and a few more things… horse and buggies???
I have taken about an hour of video today (and pictures as well) so God willing, there will be a video soon! On one side of the road is GORGEOUS beach and the other side is horrible “homes” and “businesses”. You will see.
God has already started to open my eyes to the culture as I have just had the privilege of observing. The poorest of the poor and the richest of the rich are among each other, there is no barriers except the huge walls around the nice homes and the money in their wallets. It is beautiful here and I can not wait to see what tomorrow brings!
