Okay! I have some apologies to make. I’m sorry that is the middle of month 2 for me, and that I have managed to not blog at all. haha Not my intentions, time is flying by. But I promise I’ll do better. Im going to try to make it happen every other week. So check it out.

Last month in Honduras, I lived at a children’s orphanage called New Life in a small village town called Jalaca.(You should check them out at http://www.newlifehonduras.org) When I was told where I was going, I had no idea what to expect. Honestly, I thought that I would be in a place that was run down and full of children who felt like they didn’t belong anywhere and had awful horror stories. I knew that I wanted to love them, but I had no idea what I would say or do to make life better for them. But when I step off the plane there, none of that mattered. I knew that God was going to do something incredible, and He didn’t let me down. I got to speak at house churches, do youth services(just like my ISM 6.8 students), work and play with kids all day, eat birthday cake(when you have 48 kids, you gets lots of birthday cake), gives 48 kids a dirt bike rides, pray and experience healings, and so much more. I had the time of my life, and I couldn’t imagine a better month. Those 48 kids had so much Joy, and you could see the Holy Spirit all over them. He loves his children! They had a home and a missionary family that had made each of them their own. They had a swimming pond with a waterfall on a large acreage, a school house that gave them a christian education and made them fluent in english, opportunities to got to church EVERYDAY(America we are slacking), and most of all it gave them a place where they could belong and have people love them well. I love the heart behind this ministry, and I can’t imagine what I’ll do, if God breaks my heart the way he did every month like he did in Honduras. This month has changed my life! I can’t wait to see what’s next on this journey. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.

Say Hi to my boy Alex. There is enough Joy in this kid, to make anyone happy. He loves life, and he knows what the Lord has done for him. His story broke me. I was riding around with the missionary, when she let me know how he ended up at the home. Him and his 3 other siblings we taken from their abusive mother who had physically abused them many times. Alex has burn marks on his face, where he was placed in a hot oven as a child. This kid has been through so much. but he doesn’t allow his circumstances to rob him of the Joy that God gives him each day. New Life is his home, and he is happy to be there. Be in prayer for this ministry! They are two people, who are trying to raise up 48 children in the ways of the Lord. They are always looking for support as well. Make sure to check them out!
