Here is an example of what a day looked like for Team Entrusted in India. Keep in mind that every day was an adventure, as we NEVER knew what was going on…
8:00am Wake up. We didn’t have the choice of sleeping in. Our beds were on the roof of the church and the sun would be shining on us by this time. If you tried to sleep any longer, you would be lying in a puddle of sweat.
Somewhere 8:15 – 9:00 Chai is served… best part of the day!!
9:00 Breakfast is served by SuJenna, Pastor’s wife.
9:30-2:00 “Take rest”, as the Indians say… Prepare messages for evening ministry. Pray for people who come to the village to see us. Interact with the villagers as they head in and out of their fields. Go for a run/walk. Take a shower.
2:00 Lunch served by SuJenna.
2:30-3:45 Finish preparing for ministry.
4:00 Load 13 or 14 people into a vehicle made to carry 10. We are chauffeured by our hosts to another village each night. The ride can take 30 minutes to 3 hours. (Sometimes we do multiple services in a day, in which case we would leave closer to 1:00.)
5:00 Interact with residents of hosting village and pray house-to-house.
7:00-9:00 Worship and messages. Followed by individual pray for everyone in the audience.
9:30 Dinner served by host and SuJenna.
10:15 Head for home.
10:45 Debrief day and feedback.
11:15 Bedtime.
There you have it. A day in the life of Team Entrusted in an Indian village!
