Can you hear us Lord? Perhaps we need more voices joining in prayer?
On Sunday, July 7, 2013 a young woman ran a stop sign violently colliding with another vehicle.This pick-up was carrying the DeFur family, which consisted of Grandma and Grandpa, Mom and Dad, and two young children. One of these children is little Aly DeFur, a beautiful 4 year old little princess.
When the vehicles collided, the DeFurs' pick-up was flipped and little Aly was trapped until responders arrived and were able to cut her out. She had suffocated in the mud and suffered severe head trauma. She was pronounced "dead" on scene but was resuscitated in the ambulance. She has spent the last 4 days fighting for her life. The doctors have proclaimed her "brain dead" and her family is contemplating taking her off life-support. Her mother, Sarah, posted this earlier on facebook:
"As I lay here next to Aly I'm awaken. I'm awaken with a strong sense to pray. Something tells me to not post this, but I refuse to listen to Satan trying to bring me down. I want a miracle. I want a miracle like never before. So I have this sense that Aly needs her body released. I believe Satan has a hold of it. Tom and I are commanding him to let her go. And we are thanking Jesus and asking Him to breath life back into her body. Now I need you guys again. To believe in miracles and to pray the same thing. Thank you for your prayers! We love you!" – Sarah
Many times stories of miraculous healing are shared here, on the World Race website. Future racers and followers read these accounts in amazement with how God's mighty hand can move… but there is usually an element of subconscious belief that miracles only happen in other countries or through special events and circumstances. We want to encourage those who are reading this to believe that miracles do happen when the children of God unite their prayers and trust that the Lord's will be done! This mother and her daughter are in need of a miracle. Lets all unite our prayers and lift our voices to the Lord on Aly's behalf… Let us be a voice for someone who has none, right now!
We believe whether our Heavenly Father chooses to heal Aly completely or calls her home… He Alone is in control. We trust that He will use this horrible situation to bring about His glory and minister to someone. Please keep little Aly in your prayers for a miracle. Pray for peace for the DeFur family, as well as the family of the young woman who caused the accident. Thank you.
