I’m now in Malaybalay. It’s amazing here. We are up in the mountains staying at New Faith Orphanage. Most of the orphans here have been given up because their families just can’t afford them. It’s unfortunate but at least it’s a good place to grow up. They get good housing, food, an education from the local schools, and are brought up in a loving environment.
Over the past few days I’ve been able to really connect with a few of the kids. They are amazing. They keep calling me something in the local language that I can’t pronounce but it means older brother. The other night during their devotional time we put on a skit for them (Daniel and the lion’s den). They absolutely loved it. We may have to make bible skits a regular thing.
