Since signing up for The World Race, there have been a number of songs I've heard on the radio (or ones I've failed to notice in my own iTunes) that God has used to prepare me for my upcoming journey. I decided to make a playlist of these things songs and listen to them in my car or while I work out. These songs get me excited, they break my heart, they give me a "spirit check" on why I'm becoming a global missionary, they do all kinds of things.

I figured I'd share some of these songs with you because, if they speak to me, they're certain to speak to someone else whether it's a fellow Squad mate, a person thinking about doing something like The World Race, or someone who just needs some encouragement in their day-to-day life.

1. "The Church" by Elevation Worship

We are the change the world is waiting for.
We've got a love the world is desperate for.
We will lead and take to your streets.

2. "Do Something" by Matthew West

We are the salt of the earth.
We are a city on a hill.
But we're never gonna change the world by standing still.
No, we won't stand still!

3. "Follow You" by Leeland

I'll follow You into the homes of the broken.
I'll follow You into the world.
I'll meet the needs of the poor and the needy, God.
I'll follow You into the world.

4. "Give Me Your Eyes" by Brandon Heath

Give Your arms for the broken hearted
Ones that are far beyond my reach.
Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten.
Give me Your eyes, so I can see.

5. "Overcome" by Jeremy Camp

Power in hand, speaking the Father's plan.
You're sending us out, light in this broken land.

6. "The Power of Your Name" by Lincoln Brewster

I will live to carry your complassion.
To love a world that's broken.
To be Your hands and feet.

7. "The Proof of Your Love" by For King and Country

So, let my life be the proof, the proof of Your love.
Let my love look like You and what You're made of.
How you lived, how you died, love is sacrifice.

8. "Until The Whole World Hears" by Casting Crowns

Lord, I want to feel Your heart
And see the world through Your eyes.
I want to be Your hands and feet.
I want to live a life that leads.

 9. "Whom Shall I Fear" by Chris Tomlin

I know who goes before me.
I know who stands behind.
The God of Angel Armies is always by my side.

10. "Your Great Name" by Natalie Grant

All the weak find their strength.
Hungry souls receive grace.
The fatherless, they find their rest.
Sick are healed, and the dead are raised.
At the sound of Your great Name.

Again, these are just a few of songs that I have on my World Race Playlist. I'm sure there is more. If there is one that you have listened to and think it would be great for me add, please share!
