I still can't believe this is happening! For those of you who know me, traveling the world as a missionary was probably the furthest thing from my mind and probably from theirs as well, but when God says, "Go"…you go.

My name is Clayton but most call me Clay. My Mom calls me whatever she wants hence the title of this blog. Her list of nicknames for me does…not…end. I am 26 years old. I grew up in Davenport, IA and have lived in the area my entire life. My Mom  is Ruth, my Dad is Chuck, and I have two brothers named Nick and Paul. I am the youngest, the baby of the family.

I went to a private college in Rock Island, IL just 15 minutes away from my house. I graduated in November 2009 with a Biology major. My goal was then to go on to attain a DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy). However, for some reason, I never had the desire to go back to school. After 16 years, I had had enough.

While I was in college, I worked at Calvary Church of the Quad Cities as the Children's Ministry Assistant to the Children's Coordinator who, at the time, happened to be my lovely Mom, Ruthie. However, around the same time I graduated from college, the church blessed me with a great opportunity: to coordinate The Fold (the K-3rd Grade ministry) and The Gate (the 4th-6th Grade ministry)! My Mom took on the Little Lambs Preschool and Noah's Ark Nursery. Kids are truly my passion! I worked at Calvary until December of 2012. I also have worked part time at the Two Rivers YMCA in Moline, IL for the last two years. So I do that and also work part time at Starbucks until I launch in July!

This has been a little about me. I will continue to blog about things such as how I was called to do The World Race, what I am praying happens because of it, and more. Please subscribe to this blog, so you can get all the latest updates!
