“But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.” – Psalms 1:2

This morning while I was lifting, I began to think about how easily it is for me to mix up my priorities. It is so easy for me to spend an entire Sunday on the couch watch NFL games, spend several hours hitting a little white ball all over the place (golfing), or spend hours lifting weights. However I find myself sometimes struggling to even spend 10 to 15 minutes of my day with my daily devotions and having some alone time with the Creator of the Universe.

The Lord is so merciful and powerful and wants to have a personal relationship with each one of us, yet at times we become so immersed in our own lives that we often neglect the biggest priority of all; having a personal relationship with the Lord and trying to strengthen that relationship everyday! I feel we often can easily turn to the Lord in times of need however; at times we tend to put or daily relationship with the Lord on the back-burner. We can’t just go to the Lord in times of need but we need to be trying to spend everyday praising him for all of His amazing power and all that he does for us, along with trying to strengthen our relationship with Him! The Lord created everything including the things that we feel are a big priority in our life, so it only makes sense that the biggest priority in our life needs to be our relationship with Him.
