As I prepare to Launch,

I would just like to say that I am so very thankful to all those you have financially supported me on this mission journey. Thank you for pouring into the mission work I will be doing in the next eleven months.

I am so very thankful for meeting my squad mates at Training Camp (May 21st till the 31st). It was a great time to grow in community, share intimate moments together and enjoy each other’s company. I was told that it was going to be difficult; personally I found it to be a walk in the park. I enjoy living out of a tent, taking bucket showers, hiking, eating local cuisines, having lectures and worship.

I am blessed for how the Lord knit my team Anchored together. I am blessed that they will be walking beside me throughout the Race, encouraging and supporting me throughout the challenging situations, personal problems and inner healing.

As I leave this Friday, I will be two days in Atlanta with my friend Emily Miller (the lady who told me about the WR in 2012) and then meet up with my team mates on June 28th. I will be with my squad a couple of days and my anticipated day of departure is Canada Day (July 1st!) I will be flying to INDIA !!!

The word Resfeber comes to mind when I think about getting on that plane to India. I know I will be having an anxious heart leaving my family here in Dartmouth, leaving Atlanta and it is only until I land on Indian soil, get off that plane and the doors open to the hot, noisy, smelly Indian air that it will hit me. I am on this journey with my team mates, contacts, all the people I will meet and above all else God.

With profound thanks to you all. See you on the other side 😀

Just as Gandalf called both Bilbo and Frodo on their own unexpected journey, I am thankful God continued to prod at my heart to step out and do the World Race. I am thankful He believes in me and that He knows this is an integral part of my growth.

“The Road goes ever on and on down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone,And I must follow, if I can,Pursuing it with eager feet,Until it joins some larger way where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.”
