I first heard about the World Race in July 2012 while I was volunteering in a soup kitchen in Paris. A lady who I volunteered with named Emily Miller told me about the WR and her plan to participate the following year. Since speaking to Emily and reading her blogs throughout her race I had this intense desire to do it.

God was growing this yearning and calling for my life. However, I would look at the 15,500$ and cringe at the idea of having to raise a significant amount of funds. Doubt settled into my heart and I decided to plan less costly adventures in the meantime. My voice and desires became central to all decisions made. It was only until my most recent trip to Ireland that I said enough is enough, God is first in my life and I must obey Him.
In the Bible, in Luke 22:49 it says
So here, I pass the puck to you Father, let your will be done. 😀
