You
know I don’t really know what to write about Kenya- the month was kind of
random.  My team and I were in Kitale
which is about 8 hours from Nairobi.  We
worked with a man we called Pastor Moses.
He is the head Bishop of around 100 churches called New Life, which is
unbelievable.   We were living with
Pastor Moses and his family.  He has two
boys, Edwin and Oscar.  Both of the boys
are so smart and spoke awesome English.
Oscar is at the top of his class.
There was also a woman there named Elizabeth who helped around the house
and her 3 year old son, Vincent.  We had
the best time getting to know his family.
Those boys are all precious!
Pastor Moses wanted this month to be restful for us – which it was.  And it was pretty amazing, considering we
expected Africa to be the roughest living conditions, that we had a western
toilet (we could actually FLUSH the toilet paper), a hot shower (which did
catch on fire one time while I was in it), and a crazy comfortable bed.  The weather was amazing – the first cool
place we’ve been in on the Race – again unexpected in Africa.

Our
ministry consisted of various things.  We
went to multiple churches and preached (eeekkk), we visited homes (which we
usually came home with a LIVE chicken or turkey from our visits), we went to
orphanages and to schools (where you would be teaching the class and the kids
would raise their hands saying “teacher, teacher…”).  This month was great and hard for me at the
same time.  It was great to have a
relaxing month, but it was challenging to manage how you spent your time and
also because we didn’t really have a chance to know people, except for our
contact.  The Lord taught me a lot about
choosing my attitude and being content in Him, no matter the situation.  I mean seriously – I’m travelling the world
to talk about my God, who is amazing, who loves me and loves all these people
and who gives hope to the hopeless – what’s there to be unhappy about!!

We found out that we will be returning to the good ole USA on November 19th.  Please begin praying for my re-entry into the
states and that the Lord will speak to me about what I am supposed to be doing
after this adventure!  Love all of you!!
