So I’ve decided
that I would just jot down all the woah – that was cool and totally God –
moments.
1. Right before I left I had to get one more
vaccine. This one shot itself cost over
$200. I also had to get a few other
things from the clinic to bring with me.
On my last Sunday at church they commissioned me off as a missionary
(crazy). It was awesome and some
amazing people wanted to give to me. It
was amazing how generous people are and so humbling. Well I went to the doctor and the bill was
$345.88. Later I went to deposit the
money that had been donated and it was $345.47.
I’m sorry that’s no coincidence.
God provides so much. It’s
amazing.
2. The church we are working with wants us
in the community in the afternoons and evenings. So we had been going from 4 to 9 pm. The first night that we were walking back
there was a woman that told us to be careful walking. Then there was this motorcycle that pulled up
beside us. It was two men and they
slowed down right as they got to us. It
was really creepy and we were all just like “look forward.” They never said anything to us. Well they got a little ahead of us and we
noticed that the 2nd guy was in army duds and had a gun lying across
his lap. Once we got to our house they
stopped and said “adios.” And that was it – so basically we got escorted
home. When we got into the house the
other three teams that are staying in the house with us were all in a
circle. They had been praying that
angels would be with us on our walk home.
God sent them. Awesome.
3. The other day I was walking down the
street coming home from using the internet and I just started thinking about
one of our other teams. They are up the
mountains and I hadn’t really heard much from them. So I just started praying for them. As I was praying I heard someone yell
“Clara.” It was 3 members of the team
that I was just praying for riding down the road in motorcycle taxis. They are doing great. Our God comforts.
4. One of the teams had been in a
neighborhood (village) for 3 days and there had been an older woman that kept
on being around but never really said anything.
Finally on the third day the woman came running after them as they were
about to leave. She said that they had
to come to her house. So they did and
she told them that the night before they had gotten there she had had a dream
that some Americans were going to be coming to her house and others and asking
questions about her and her family.
Apparently the woman has dreams a lot that come true. It’s amazing to know that we are a part of
God’s plan. She knew we were coming!
5. So for some of us there is a major
language barrier – like me. I don’t
speak hardly any Spanish and I’m really kicking myself for it. However, I trust that if I need it- the Lord
will provide. Two girls on my team were
with some women the other day. One of
the girls speaks pretty good Spanish (Tiffany), but the other one doesn’t speak
any (Hope). Hope just thought of a word
(basically the Lord just gave it to her) and asked Tiffany if it meant anything
in Spanish. It did – it meant
change. So Tiffany told Hope to pray
over this woman. She prayed for a good 5
minutes – IN SPANISH.
WHAT!??????????!!!!!!!!!! She now
knows no Spanish again, but the Lord gave her words when she needed them.
More
to come I’m sure!!! J
How neat is God. He’s real, just
saying!
