Daphnee Sanon epiotmizes what it means to “humble ourselves before The Lord…”(James 4:10). This humble nature was birthed out of an atrocious occurrence in her life. But she has not/will not allow it to define her. The walls between her and God may have been built up but they are now in crumbles with her sporadic rhythmic dances leading her way through the rubble. You can read about her struggle here:

Daphnee was not only a teammate, she became a friend, confidant and sister. My first four months on the Race often involved me crying, laughing and merely spending time with her. She made me feel loved. She has this way about her that captivates your very thoughts when she walks into a room. She has grown leaps and bounds since our fist meeting and continues to grow, never desiring to be complacent in her walk.

*A special HAPPY 26th BIRTHDAY to my best friend Meg Spangler! She has been such an amazing friend to me the past eight years. I would consider us more of sisters; living together for almost five years; going through many ups and downs. Most of my favorite memories involve her and I cannot express how much gratitude I have toward her. She has played a huge role in why I am on this journey. Not only is she selfless, but she defines what it means to have compassion for others and to “love the least of these” (Matt. 25:45). She has been supportive from the beginning and continues to be.
