Dear Family and Friends,

I hope this letter finds you well and in good health! As you probably know, I haven’t been able to stay in one place for very long. Since leaving the great state of Delaware, I’ve graduated from York College of PA, lived in Memphis, TN, Lexington, KY, and have spent my summers on the eastern shore of Maryland. I have been truly blessed! My travels have led me to some great places and some even more amazing people. During all of this, God has given me the desire to start a new chapter of my life.
I’ve been accepted into a missionary program called The World Race through the organization Adventures in Missions. I cannot express in words how excited I am! It entails 11 missions in 11 different countries. Each month will bring a new service project which varies from country to country. Examples include working in orphanages, mentoring those who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, teaching, building, community development and planting churches. Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, Mozambique, Swaziland, and South Africa are the mission countries. I will be living/camping out of a backpack for the entire trip alongside a group of five to seven young adults who have also answered their call to serve!
I have honestly never felt more at peace with a decision in my life as I have with the choice to be a disciple for the Lord on The World Race. It feels like it’s much more than a choice but a calling. I was apprehensive about leaving my career in coaching that I love so much but my desire to help those in need is so much greater. I hope to connect with the lost, love those who feel so unloved, build sustainable communities, and to fully rely on prayer and the goodness of those around me.
The financial investment of the trip is $15,500, which I must fundraise. That amount will cover all of my expenses for the entire 11 month period. $15,500 seems like a lot to raise! But along with my working two jobs, if 50 people were willing to donate $25 a month for a year, I would have all of the funds I required!
There are a few ways you can donate.
