I feel as though the theme of these past few days has been sitting and waiting. We arrived at the airport in Atlanta, and sat and waited for the shuttle to the hotel for Launch. Then during Launch we sat and waited for numerous sessions to end so that we could start this new season of life. When we finally headed to the airport we had to sit and wait to get on our 2-hour flight to Texas, and continued to sit and wait for our 14-hour flight to Qatar; on which we had to sit and wait to land. All led up to this moment. Currently I’m sitting and waiting in Qatar for my final 8-hour flight to Thailand. It is in this moment that I’ve realized that all the sitting and waiting was a blessing in disguise. It has given me a chance to learn more about those surrounding me, and to move forward from those I’ve left behind. Leaving your life behind to serve the Lord has never seemed easy, but it is truly a challenge. I left my family, friends, comforts, and norms behind. I traded it for a glimpse of the Lord’s heavenly splendor. The Lord gave me the opportunity to process this, as well as see some of his splendor. I have seen the Lord begin to work through each of us. Whether it has been talking to the person next to us on the plane and seeing the wonder in their eyes as we explain what we are doing, or praying over one another during this tough transition. It has been an amazing transition, but I do believe I am ready to get past this theme of sitting and waiting . I am ready to get to Chanthaburi with my team and begin doing. The opportunities to do are endless. We could teach children, walk the Cambodian border, talk to women and children in prisons, and so much more. The time of sitting and waiting will soon pass, and I’m so excited. Thank you all again for your prayers, letters, and words of encouragement.

                                                               Until next week,
