Raising support is a big part of being a missionary. The money that I raise will cover everything but personal spending money on my trip. That includes all my transportation, food, lodging, internet time, and any ministry needs. The bar at the top of the page will be updated frequently to show how close I am to being fully funded.
I must be fully funded by July 2015. That means I have 9 months to raise all my support! In order for the program to pay for travel expenses and to save a spot on my team I must meet certain deadlines.
- $3,000 – Due 9/27/2014 (2 weeks before Training Camp)
- $6,500 – Due 12/18/2014 (2 weeks prior to the trip)
- $9,500 – Due 4/1/2015 (End of 3 months on the field)
- $13,500.00 + $742.60 (*Insurance) = $14,242.60 – Total Due 7/1/2015 (End of 6 months on the field)
While $14,000+ seems like a lot, let me break it down for you:
- If 15 people donate $100 monthly, the trip is paid.
- If 30 people donate $50 monthly, I will be fully funded.
- If half of my Facebook friends donate $6 monthly, the trip is completely paid.

This is the fastest way to donate funds to me. It takes about 3-5 days for the money to process and show up in my account. There is a 3% processing fee, however that money also goes toward my account. Debit/credit cards or a bank draft can be used. You can reach this by clinking on the Support Me! link on the left. If you choose to make monthly donations, please make sure to put an end date to your donations. Any donations sent in after June 2015 will be donated to the general fund of Adventures in Missions.
Check
Checks take about 2 weeks to process. They must be written out to Adventures in Missions with my name (Claire Miller) written on the memo line.
