Wow! I cannot believe it is time to leave Zambia already. These 2 weeks have flown by! We leave for Malawi tomorrow!! I knew when I left that we would be going to 11 different countries in 11 months, a different county every month, however, I did not figure how in love I would be with a place and not want to leave.
I am in love with Zambia, Livingstone, the people here, our ministry contacts, Libuyu, everything!! Walking around Libuyu I have had many feelings of déjà vu, like I have been there before even though I have never been to Africa! It is such a great feeling because it is like I am exactly where I need to be!
Almost every moment of every day I have to stop in awe that I am on the World Race. I have thought about, prayed for, dreamed and imagined this for about 5 years and I am finally living it! It is everything I have wanted it to be and more. Living in this community with this team has been amazing! I love getting to know them and hearing their testimonies! We have already become a family, which is such a blessing because I am so far away from my family and friends. Most nights we will be crying we are laughing so hard about non-sense.
Ministry here was amazing! Pastor Sanderson and his wife Lweendo took us under their wing and were amazing!
We got to go to orphanages and hang out with the kids, play games with them and encourage them! But I especially loved getting to talk and encourage the mothers who care for the orphans! They are amazing women! We have also been walking through villages and the marketplace talking to people. People here all say they are Christian and think it is really cool when white people from America want to come talk to them about God and have a Bible study! It is not like the states where if you were to walk up to someone and say “Can I talk to you about God and church?” they look at you like you are crazy haha!
Well I will post more later! Check out my Facebook page for tons of pictures from our journey!! We had 2 days off where we were able to visit Victoria Falls, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and we also got to go on a Safari in Botswana and see lots of animals!
