As I was worshipping in church this evening, God kept whispering the following message to me…
Never let the amount that I pour into you outweigh the amount you pour out to the world.
The quickest and closest thing that came to mind was eating. You need to eat in order to live but if you eat more than the amount of energy you use from that food, the rest is simply excess. You’d gain weight, and maybe it’ll keep you a little warmer in the cold but eventually, there would be a point where it’s not healthy, and that extra wouldn’t do you any good. I know firsthand from my Ukrainian 15.
Yes, He wants us to be filled with His truth and love and grace and goodness but He wants us to continually be doing something with that. He says to go and make disciples! Show the world who He is. Love without strings attached. Give generously. Walk in His authority. Live out the book of Acts.
