My church had been reading Psalms throughout the summer (ummm I may have stolen the blog title). We were challenged to write our own psalm a few weeks ago. I didn’t have the opportunity to share, so here it is. This is a psalm of new orientation as I prepare for the race. Sorry, I’m not sorry for my favorite pun ;D

I look at him, Lord, and I see hurt
I look at her, Lord, and I see unrest
I look at all of them, Lord, and I see miracles waiting to happen
Because You were the miracle that happened to me.

Lord, I praise You in the depths of my brokenness
I thank You for the tears of sorrow that I’ve shed
For it is You who draws me near.
I thank You for the times I feel complete
For it is You who shows me satisfaction.

Though I will continuously falter,
I will love for You,
I will serve for You,
And I will open my heart and my mind for You.

For You are my truest Saviour,
The One I love in-tents-ly
(Or in any dwelling, for that matter)
And I will praise You in every season of my life.
