Our team, MARVELous Avengers didn’t want this to be just an ordinary Christmas. We wanted to make sure we were able to share the real meaning of Christmas and show as much of Jesus’s love as we could. So we fasted from meat for a couple weeks and decided to use the money we would usually spend on that to give something extra to the Bung Snay and 42 Houses villages we had served at.
Let me tell you a bit about these villages. Actually just look at the pictures…my words won’t do them justice.
It was awesome. We got 100 lil boxes of milk and a couple hundred bananas for each of the two villages. We learned how to say Jesus loves you in Khmer. The goal was to give each child a little bag with milk and bananas, so we could bless them tangibly while telling them about Jesus.
For the students who came to the English and guitar classes at YDC (where we lived) we hosted a big Christmas party!
Even though we missed our families on Christmas this year, the Lord blessed us to love people in His name on his birthday half a world away. This was a Christmas we won’t ever forget.
