Without faith, all of this is impossible.
I was reminded this today by a dear friend. And boy did I need to hear it.
Hebrews 11:6 says 'And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.' or as the message bible puts it 'and that He cares enough to respond to those who seek Him.'
I need to make a confession. Over the past week or so, I've been letting the world get to me. I've been listening to those who say things like, well what if you don't raise enough money to go? or how can you possibly do this, or blah blah blah. You name it, I've probably heard it this week. It's been a rough week. And for some reason I've let those doubts creep in. Let satan get to me.
BUT, I'm not allowing that anymore. I am declaring in the name of Jesus Christ that I fully trust him to provide. He is Jehovah-Jireh and He will provide all that is needed and more for this World Race. He will take care of it. He wants His name and His love shared with people in 11 different countries, by me. And so how can I claim to be His, and yet doubt that He's got this? Or that he won't respond to those who seek Him.
So here's where you can help Him to provide. I'm in need of about $2,500 before June 30th to go to training camp. Then I have to have about $3000 more by the middle of August. I have some other deadlines after that, but let's just take this a step at a time here.
