It is less than a week until Launch!
God has been providing extravagantly for me over the past week,
calming fears and anxieties through a variety of circumstances and
words of encouragement. I want to share one moment in particular.
My dad and I went out for a
daddy-daughter date one evening, and on the way back home, God
brought to mind an incredibly encouraging thought. A couple of years
ago, when I went on a mission trip to New Orleans, Louisiana, I felt
God impress upon my heart to “be the voice for those that have
none,� to be the sort of mediator between those that need help and
those that can give it. I believe that through the network I am now
connected with through The World Race, I have come into a position to
be able to accomplish this. God revealed to me that I am about to
live a dream…and not just my dream, but God’s dream for me. As my
dad prayed for me this morning before I said good-bye to my family
for the next nearly eleven months, he said that during this year I
will be in God’s presence, and because I am in His presence, I will
be able to bring His presence, His light, and His life to this world,
to go as an ambassador of Christ and penetrate the darkness. I thank
God for this privilege! For those of you supporting me, not only
financially but particularly prayerfully presently and throughout
this year, I want to thank you, because I am definitely feeling your
prayers. I actually feel like I am being lifted up on eagles’ wings!
And I pray that throughout this year, you will get caught up in this
God-sized dream as well, that we may be able to mutually encourage
one another and spur each other on to greatness through the power,
love, and work of the Holy Spirit within us in the mission fields in
which God has placed each of us. To Him be the glory!
Now to the King eternal, immortal,
invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and
