I am a daughter of the light. "I will trust and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song and he has become my salvation." (Isaiah 12:2) I am a child of God, a co-heir with Christ and as I suffer with him now, I will be glorified with him. (Romans 8:17) I am free from my sin and I bring freedom to others because the Holy Spirit lives in me and where the spirit of The Lord is there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17). Regardless of how I feel about myself, God's love for me never ceases. No power, no death, no life, no matter how low I get, I will never be separated from God's love for me (Romans 8:38-39). Nothing I do, good or bad could ever make him love me any less or anymore. Christ is Love and He loves me just as I am. When I feel unloved and isolated, I will remember the woman who suffered from constant bleeding for 12 years. According to Hebrew law, if anyone touched her they became unclean, and so she spent more than a decade out of the reach of someone's love. But she approached Jesus with faith and not only did he heal her but he called her "Daughter". (Luke 8:40-48) I receive God's love for me even when I don't want to love myself. I am his beloved, his delight, his precious daughter.
