Hey Yall,
So I believe this is the awkward moment where I have to pick and chose interesting and basic things about myself to tell you more about who I am. Which I'm sure by now you can tell is a difficult task because I would much rather meet you face to face and tell you all of this in person, but this is what we have to work with so after all of that babbling… allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Ciara Nichole Loggins. I am currently 21 years old, just a few weeks shy of 22. I am from Gainesville, Georgia and pride myself on my small town, southern, up-bringing. I attend Liberty University and am pursuing a degree in Biology.
Aside from who I am "On paper" I believe that there are 5 key things about the heart of me that I should share with you. So here goes.
1. I LOVE people: Allow me to explain, we all on some level love people, that is human nature. However, I love people, meaning everything about people. I love to meet, get to know, and fellowship with everyone and anyone. Ask those closest to me and they will confirm that making new friends, and large crowds are like a trip to the play ground for me. It's not fake, or forced, I genuinely want to meet and get to know the people that surround me. So to sum up fact number one, I am a People Person.
2. I'm Self Motivated: At times I may be unsure of what I need to be doing or want to do, but once I set my mind to something I don't wait for it to fall in my lap, I go for it. Not that I'm claiming to have it all, or anything for that matter,figured out in life. I simply have a drive, or passion for things that empower me to go after goals in my life. Summary number two, I'm Driven.
3. The Goof-Ball: Class Clown? Right on the money.If I can make you laugh just once I consider our relationship a success. I'm not afraid to embarrass myself for a good laugh. But don't be confused, I don't run around with a red fake nose or try to do stand up, it's the random, awkward and more quiet comments that make up my playing field. Laughter is an over flow of joy, So yea. I like to laugh and make other people laugh too.
4. I Believe in a Balanced Life: That sounds slightly granola but it's true. I like to be outside, play sports, hike up a good trail, and on days I'm feeling adventurous even run up it! I like to play tennis and watch football. And also embrace my creative side and paint or refinish some old furniture. Writing and music are also some big hobbies of mine, by music i mean listening and off key sing-along but it's still a hobby close to my heart. Along side of all of these hobbies I love to serve and work with kids. If that means working at a summer camp or serving with youth ministry at my local church I'm there. I Love it.
5.I'm Captivated.. : This is where I get real, all that mess I just told you about myself used to be the center of what determined who I was. But not too long ago I realized that no matter what I do, like, enjoy, or fill my life up with, It's not about me. That's right, everything I just told you in order to help you get some sort of idea of what I'm about doesn't matter at all. I'll tell you why.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5).
So before I could even think or develop things about my self to tell you Christ knew me, and called me.
1. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35).
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life.(John 3:16).
So,I get to love people, and be excited about friendships because his grace gave me the chance to. Not only do I get the chance to, but by love am commanded to.
2".Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men."( Colossians 3:23).
My motivation is fueled by example, knowing how much was laid down for me determines how I must put effort into every task, because I'm not working, I'm serving.
3".A Cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up bones."(Proverbs 17:22)
The Lord has given me a comical side to bring Joy to those around me and to bless my heart.
4.“Ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” (Job 12:7-10)
I am able to experience life, the hobbies I enjoy, because he loved me enough to create them. Everything I enjoy, love to do, to hear, or sing off key to, reflects the glory of my creator.
So to sum up number 5 on my list I hope it is evident that my heart has been captivated by the glory and wonder of my God, my savior, my creator. All glory of who I am, or what I do, or want to be someday have to start and end with him. Without Christ I am and I have nothing. I am living a life captivated by grace.
Hopefully this has given you a general idea of who I am and what I'm about and what not. So with all of that said, It was nice to "unofficially" meet you!
