After two long flights and some hang-out time in airports along the way…we have made it to Manila!
My heart is OVERFLOWING with JOY and EXPECTATION of what this season holds here in the Philippines.
Tomorrow 5 of our teams (including us) will fly to Mindanao for the month.
We have heard that we will be a little outside of ‘civilization’ – smack in the middle of banana + pineapple plantations.
The Lord told me to start a new journal and as I opened it, spoke this about the season:
” Into uncharted waters…a journey into the DEEP!”
We are beginning month 8 … representing a season of the “new”. Month 7 was a time of finishing, a wrapping up of specific areas of growth, a season of completion and the Lord completing the good work He began in us, in me in Africa.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you…”

I ask that you join me prayerfully in this season as the Lord unveils what He has on this continent, in this country, and in my life. He’s taught me the make and functions of the ‘boat’ – and now it’s time to sail out of the harbor. I’m reminded of something my college mentor spoke to me once that transformed the way I considered adventuring with the Lord. He said something to the affect of , “Christy, you weren’t made to stay tied down in safe harbor – you were made to sail into the DEEP.” A voyager on this endless ocean and bottomless sea…the Lord is with me!!!!
