This month my team has the privilege of serving in a village just outside of Biera, Mozambique. We are partnering with Lucas’s team (Colby, Shannon, Alecia, Lauren + Rachel F.)

We are excited about partnering with the Mamma Rita ministry here – and anticipate a great month. The Lord was faithful in getting us here in 2 days from debrief in Lilongwe + provided every step of the way just what we needed…transportation, a grocery store for food, a cheap place to stay, drivers who fight for us and our safety, and kind locals to help with directions, etc.

The landscape here in Mozambique is beautiful. The people of this village are beautiful. There is an abundance of mangos, sweet squattie potties (one of which we were told not to use when it rains…because we might fall in?!?!), bucket showers, and a beautiful house for us to stay in. The kiddos are full of life and laughter, and then women are true servants. Peter our contact is blind…he has been since the age of 12 due to measles. I anticipate many lessons from him throughout the month. I’m already learning.

In the meantime – I’ve already had the privilege of hanging out with local women, running in the village, meeting the chief + advisors, visiting the hospital to pray for sick patients, naming two babies (Elijah + Grace), and preaching at a midnight crusade. All of this and more in just a few days time…God has incredible things in store for this month. He has incredible things in store for Mozambique! Let it rain Lord, let it rain! Open the floodgates of Heaven. Pour out Your Spirit on this land. Love, love from Mozambique!!!
