This week my team is living at a church in Varnsdorf, CZ.
WHY? There’s an outreach event to reach teens and share the message of Christ. People here are hungry for the Lord! We’re facilitating “happenings” every afternoon to draw people out to the evening festivities including concerts, sharing of the Gospel message, much fun and games, hang out time in the tea-room, etc. These happenings are random events that get people’s attention and allow us to start conversation. Today we walked through town with chalk and crazy clothing and wrote messages on the sidewalks in Czeski and English directing people to the NO COMMENT events. My favorite part of this was smiling and waving at random older Czech ladies. They laughed at my attire and returned my greetings with an excited, yet surprised “Chow! or Ahoy” and lot of giggling. I also enjoyed laying down in the road and having my teammates quickly draw me. This opportunity also gave me the chance to write some words of life over the town of Varnsdorf and it’s people…it’s pretty cool to decorate the sidewalks with TRUTH about what the Lord is doing!
