Home sweet home.
People often say “home is where the heart is”…
and in my case (as well as some 89 other young adults joining me on the July squad)
we’ll make our home in 11 nations over the next 11 months.
I couldn’t be more excited – expectant – baffled – and blessed.
This tent is a small expression of what we leave behind…the warmth of comforters and fluffy mattresses.
The luxury of a closet full of clothes, a basket full of shoes…
whatever food, water, etc. we desire, just when we want it.
I’m excited to live simply…to love much…and to laugh+ cry lots.
I’m excited to “tent out” for a year of my life – and who knows…
maybe I’ll choose not to return to full extent of luxuries offered to me without much question.
Regardless of what weather may come or where I may lay my head at night, I know I am protected, and
I am excited to embrace this season – with the understanding that this is just the beginning.
