Reading this alone would do one of two things to many people – 1) make them run OR 2) draw them.
I write to you as someone who has been drawn to this adventure – drawn to this mission – drawn to this call to tell stories for the glory of God – and for the building of His Kingdom! Two months ago I applied to this trip – and the adventure began – a mystery route – “Why not Lord?” I chuckled to myself because it fits so perfectly with how the Lord seems to work in my life. He’ll ask me to step out in faith for something – we usually dialogue for a bit about it – I step – and He says, “Good!”. Then I have all sorts of questions – and it’s as if God always breathes this promise, “rest beloved. wait Christy! I’ve got ya! It’s not time yet.”
I LOVE that we have a mystery route – honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Recently the administration has graciously blessed us with some clues about our mystery route and allowed us to research and basically make guesses about where we may or may not be going…once the initial guesses were in…we were given the blessing of knowing two of our countries: TURKEY and THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.
Just the other day I was checking my e-mail and without expecting anything about our route I discovered our team had received yet another blessing — two more countries: CAMBODIA and ROMANIA!
Finally — Christmas Eve, I checked my e-mail once again – and another blessing was waiting: MOZAMBIQUE!
My dear July 2010 team, and our lovely, adventurous ‘mystery route’ have (tentatively) 5 of our countries! I’ll keep y’all updated as we receive more clues — and also with some information about the sort of ministry we will be delving into!
