We have finally arrived in Granada, Nicaragua!!

I was actually dreading the Latin American leg of this Race. Honestly, I have never been a fan of what little Latin culture I have seen. However, I love it here! I love the town, the local people, the relaxed, laid back feeling and even the animals (I finally have a dog on the Race – so it really is not MY dog, but it lives in the building that we live at.)

We will be doing a lot of manual labor during the morning hours in order to help clear out what will eventually become a mission base. During the rest of the time, we will be involved with door to door evangelism and helping with a food program for children.

We live in the building that will be the future mission base. So we are tenting inside the building due to possible critter encounters, but we have running water! So we do have a toilet and a shower!!!!

(My home for the month. Tamara is my neighbor – our rain flies connect to keep bird poop off our tents — she is such a lucky girl!! And then here is a photo of Nico, the dog we live with for this month. Too cute huh? )
