This is a true story of a bar girl that we teach in English class…
I moved from the north to Pattaya two months ago to get a job. Everyone knows you can make a lot of money here but I hate it. I don’t have a choice. I can’t make the kind of money that I need to make doing anything else. I miss my family and I don’t like my job. I’m taking several English classes because I can earn more money knowing more English. (Most of the people who come to the bars speak English.)
Each month I have to earn enough money to live here and send money home to my mom. My mom requires a lot of money and I just can’t earn that much doing anything else. I wish I could. It’s my responsibility to take care of her so I have to do what I have to do. No one seems to care what I’m going through as long as I send enough money back home. I hate this.

This girl has been to three English classes at the Tamar Center! She seems to really enjoy all the girls there and has a lot fun with us. After two months of this lifestyle, she desperately wants to go back to her village and forget all about the last 60 days of her life. Please pray that this girl will continue to come to the Tamar Center and become involved with one of their training programs that will allow her to leave this lifestyle and give her an opportunity towards another future with God leading the way!
