Tomorrow morning two teams will be heading out to work with the orphans in Swaziland. I can’t wait to get out there and meet these kids! From what I understand now, the main ages will be 4 and 5 year olds…can I tell you how excited I am about that age range! I guess we’ll see if teaching these exact ages at church for the last couple of years has helped prepare me.
Last night, I had very little together in my head about what lessons I could teach and how I could break a language barrier with crafts or skits, etc. But when I woke up this morning, I had a ton of ideas. It’s one thing to teach children about Jesus when you speak the same language, but it’s a whole new ball game when you’re not.
Keep us in your prayers as we head out tomorrow. My postings may be a little delayed for awhile. We won’t have any electricity where we’re going so I’ll have to wait until I can get to town to write.
