Over the past four months I have been support raising for The World Race. At the beginning, I felt like I was standing at the base of Mt. Everest, hesitant to begin a long and tedious journey. Nonetheless, every journey has to start somewhere and although I didn’t know where to begin, I just started telling people about what I was doing and the funds started coming in. As the process went along, something strange happened and I began to have fun with it…asking people for their financial support. I realized they weren’t necessarily supporting me as an individual…rather they are supporting the furthering of God’s Kingdom. In some cases, support was coming from people who would love to be in my shoes but are now in circumstances that prohibit them from going…so they send me. At any rate, where ever the support is coming from…it is all humbling and appreciated.
With that being said, I have one last fund raiser while I am stateside and it is my favorite so far. My boss came up with this great idea to have a New Years Day College Bowl Game Pick ‘Em Tournament. Our company is putting up the prize money ($750; huge blessing!) and participants donate $20 to my trip as their entry fee. So if you would like to play or know of anyone, go ahead and direct your attention to this link

Also, my support account as of today is right at the $9000 mark. Which means I have a little more than $5000 left to raise. I have faith that God will provide through this fundraiser and the generosity of my supporters. I would like to invite everyone that reads this to not only join in on the fun for my last fundraiser, but to also subscribe to my blog (you can do so by entering your email address on the left hand side of the page), and to support me financially (which you can also do by clicking the link on the left hand column.)
Happy New Year everyone!
