Dear friends and family,
As I write this letter, I think of all of you and what you have been in my life. All of you have been a shoulder to lean on, a role model, an inspiration; all the things I hope one day I can be for every one of you and for many more, but all of this only comes with what God has planned. Earlier this year I had an overwhelming feeling to pray about missions. God had me praying more than ever, the next thing I knew I felt him telling me to search “world race” on the internet. I’ve learned that small voice is still important. Well, the first link that came up was a mission organization called Adventures in Missions, which has a program called The World Race.
The World Race is an11-month mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. Ministry, adventure, community, and service are just a few of the main concepts of the program. Individuals on the Race grow closer to God and his kingdom around the world and see what the rest of the world is like. On the Race my team and I will serve with churches and ministries in local areas. We will share the great word of God, plant churches, work in orphanages, and do many other things, but in it all we will be loving people and showing them that there are those that care about them no matter what.
I am amazed with this opportunity that God has chosen me for, and believe that He will provide for my every need. He will do this through others, I hope that you will pray and see if God is leading you to partner with me in Prayer, but also in finically supporting me in my ministry. I must raise $15,500 in order to go on the World Race; this will cover all of my expenses while in the field. Financial support can be in the form of a one-time gift or as monthly donations, where you choose the amount, the beginning and the end dates.
Enclosed is a response card and a pre-addressed envelope, inviting you to share in the ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card with your donation to the address that is at the end of this letter. The response card provides AIM with information necessary to send you a tax deductible receipt for your donation. I am over joyed to see how God will move in my life and lives of others in the coming year. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also a blessing to you.
