Max. Maria. Anna. Sergei. Abbie. Oleg. Pam. Calina. Pat.
These are all names of people who may not mean much to you because you have never met them, but so far this month in Ukraine they have all made an impact on my life.
They are the ones that are loving on the least of these and spreading the Kingdom of God.
I have been blessed by their stories and inspired by their obedience to God.
I am amazed and awed by how good God is and how faithful He has been in each and every one of their lives because they stepped out in faith and lean on God on a daily basis.
In Hebrews there is the "Hall of Faith" and following it it says…
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." – Hebrews 12:1-2
To me these few names listed and there are many more out there are heroes and great examples of faith so that as I continue on this journey I am strengthened and will run with endurance because I know that our God is a great God.
Each person has such an unique story from growing up a village and going to orphanages since he was 11 to loving children and wanting so badly to set a good example for them and teaching them the truth at a young age to being so hospitable by feeding us in abundance to growing up in America and leaving that all behind to follow God's calling to Ukraine.
Every story is proof of God's sovereignty and love. I am truly honored to have met each and every hero and I encourage everyone to remember the heroes in your life and to keep them in constant prayer.
