There were two words that terrified me.

No, they weren’t “I do”. They were “support raising”. When I committed to the World Race, I had no idea how I was going to raise $14,300. It was honestly the first time in my life where I had to really rely on God for something tangible. I have never been lacking as I’ve always had food to eat, a roof over my head, and wonderful friend and family members, but now it was out of my control. I was scared because I had to ask people to help me. I needed people to partner with me as I followed Jesus to where he wanted me to go. I needed people like you to partner with me in changing humanity, in fighting for justice, in loving the unloved, and bringing hope to those in despair. Thank you for helping me reach my needed financial support. I am humbled by your generosity because I am entirely undeserving. Thank you so much.

My Uncle Cyril had brought up a passage of Scripture to me that speaks appropriately to just how valued your generous support is. You all have made a difference in my life. In 1 Samuel 30:24, David says “The share of the men who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike.”  Some of David’s men stayed to guard their plunder and supplies and some of them went off to fight, but both share in the blessing as both were equally as valuable in winning the battle. Regardless of where we are or what our role is, Scripture says any role in that army is valuable and makes a difference.

Thank you all again financial supporters, prayer warriors, friends, and family!!!
