I survived my first brutal day of travel and guess what?!  It wasn’t even that brutal!  Let me share with you the past four days of my life 🙂  Enjoy.
Woke up in Haiti, all 60 of us and our luggage was on a pickup truck and one school bus.  We traveled thirty minutes away to a bus station where we waited four hours until the bus picked us up.

Then we went on a very scandalous ride in a nice bus through the border to the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.  Many were sick.  I felt as though at any moment one of two things might happen: one, we fall of a cliff, or two, we tip over.  It was an intense 7 hours.

We spent the night in the airport and woke up at 4 am to get on a 6 am flight to Miami, Florida.  That flight was a measly 2 hours.

Then we RAN through to the airport to jump on a flight to LA.  Many of us unable to say goodbye to a much loved squad leader who was headed home 🙁  Sad day, but PHILLIP WE LOVE YOU!

After a 5 hour flight we arrived in LA where many of us went crazy and ate lots of American food and stocked up on candy, to spend much of the rest of the time feeling sick and horrible! Ha!  After a 12 hour layover we settled in for our 15 hour flight to Hong Kong, China.  And let me tell you that land is BEAUTIFUL.  I would love to go explore it one day.  The most captivating mountains you’ve seen.

After an hour layover spent with a Starbucks Chai Tea looking out the window at the breathtaking landscape we were FINALLY off to Thailand.  A three hour flight and we were in the country we’d set off for.  Landing in Bangkok we took a few tuk tuk’s to the bus station 45 minutes away.

The early ride we’d intended on taking was already full so we had to wait five hours until our ride arrived.  When it did we jumped on and fell hard asleep in our luxurious reclining seats.  After ten hours we were FINALLY in the city we’d be living for the next month.  Hallelujah!

My four hours here have been incredible.  I can already tell you that God made this city for a heart like mine.  I can’t wait to jump into ministry and further explore the town!
