The long-anticipated month in Thailand has begun. I remember reading other World Racer blogs about their time in Thailand before I began my Race and having my heart twist from across the world for the women and men they would meet while doing anti-sex trafficking ministry.
And now, by the grace of God, I am here to meet men, women, ladyboys, children, etc. trapped in sex trafficking.
This month I'm blessed to have constant wifi at the YWAM (Youth With A Mission) center I'm living at, so I hope to post very regular blogs on what I experience during my nightly ministry.
Here's some important 411 on this month's ministry.
Ministry Name: Love Acts, a division of YWAM Lighthouse in Action
I will be working in the red-light district ministry of Love Acts.
Check out this video of the Lighthouse In Action ministry (I have other members of my squad also working with the WonGen division and the slum ministry division that's mentioned)

Ministry Contact: Emmi, a Thai woman who grew up in an orphanage after her father murdered her mother and who founded Lighthouse in Action.
Watch her powerful testimony here:
Ministry Details: Monday through Friday my team of 3 (Kenzie Kelly and Erin Jackson) will alternate with another team of 3 in heading out to Chiang Mai's red light district.
We will work on building relationships with the women (and men, if the Lord wills) we meet and speak value, worth, and truth over them. Every other night, my team of 3 will pray and intercede for the other team that is out in the red-light district. All 6 of us women will also do regular prayer walks through the red-light district.
The long-term goal is that these women we meet will ultimately want to leave the sex industry, and our contact Emmi will then step in to help (the WonGen Kafe ministry that Emmi also runs employs women who have been rescued from the sex industry).
Thanks for bearing through the details, I'm super excited about this month's ministry! I'm going to see some hard stuff, a lot of heart-breaking stuff, but I'm confident that I'll also see the Lord at work.
