Hey Folks!!!
In this last week, I have been accepted to join a program called the World Race through Adventures in Missions! In the next few months I’ll be preparing to head out for an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries!
{Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Zambia, Malawi, India, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia}
I am Christina and I am from Canyon Lake, TX! I live in San Antonio currently working as a Recreation Therapist at a Mental Health hospital ! I love my job! I get to help people learn how to cope with some of the most difficult times of their lives through recreation!!
I came to this career after , a terrible car accident with a drunk driver, which became a day that changed my entire world! I had plans to be a dance teacher and lead a life fully in the christian version of the “ American Dream”! After the wreck dancing was done and so the unravelling of all my plans began!
Following my wreck, I began travelling over seas with family and after a friend asked me to experience God in a different culture, I began travelling for missions! Travelling has become my greatest hobby in life and fills the majority of my life’s bucket list!
Every leap over the great pond shows me a greater view of our Creator and his love of each of his creations in this world! Every expedition has lead to a great education and sifting of Truth and lies of this world!
Through my life’s journey I have been blessed to live in many places which has given me the most wonderful community of people who have been such a large part of me growing as a person and in my faith as a believer. I have a very precious family, whom show me great love, they push me to be a better person, and follower of Christ.
My greatest hope for this next season, is that I hold onto the truth of the Lord and allow Him to continue to examine my heart to bring forth a great servant and ambassador of His Kingdom! I am praying for the community of believers I’ll tenting it up with over the years and the sweet relationships the Lord is going to develop! I pray for the people we will come across and will help in each of the countries that we will be a picture of the Love of Christ and his Grace ! I ask that if you read this that you would pray along with me!
Peace and Hope
5 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved
through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
