I am blown away at God's goodness! Last Saturday was the Garage Sale to fund my trip. I felt like God was telling me to ask for $2000. As you can imagine, my thoughts were…'is this just me? am i being selfish?' but i decided what do i have to lose?! I will ask for it, and if i don't get it, it's ok.
Thanks to my amazing family and home group, set up went smoothly!! I'm telling ya, God knew exactly who i needed in my life to make this trip happen:) I love you all very much, and cannot adequately thank you.
Also a huge thank you to all those who donated things to sell…God sees your generous heart and i pray that He will bless you for that.
Anyway, Saturday night it was time to count the money and im not going to lie, i had to take a moment to spend time with God before i jumped into counting the money. Will i be ok with it if God didn't give me what i felt so strongly He wanted me to ask for? i counted $1200. ok that's awesome God…you know exactly what's going on here 🙂 Then i heard God say, 'its not over.'
I went home and found an envelope that i had gotten in the mail with no return address. Inside, i found $500 in cash. I'm telling you, there was some hard core praising going on in my kitchen as my roomie and i screamed our praises to abba daddy for the ways He was meeting my needs. Don't think for one second that this is the end of the story:) God pulled out all the stops!!
On Sunday morning, i couldn't keep quiet about what God was doing so i shared it with my church. I still needed $30 dollars to reach a total of $2000. Needless to say, God provided above and beyond the $2000. I PRAISE YOU FATHER!!! You have called me to this mission, and i have no doubt that You will funnel the money that i need to fulfill Your purpose for my life.
And to the anonymous giver…if you are reading this, thank you for the bottom of my heart!
