Have you ever been so excited about a decision you made that was going to turn your life upside down?Â
A complete shake up of everything that you know leaving you raw and completely moldable in God’s hands?
That is what I am working towards; leaving the me that is behind and becoming the hands, feet and mouth of God. To go to the places that he has called and love on the ones that need to know and experience God’s love. I had the opportunity to sit and talk with my pastor this week and just share my story and journey with him. You see God brought Billy and his family to Michigan just for me; that’s how I like to tell it. I had hit rock bottom and finally ran back to God for comfort and love. Then I told God that I was his to do with as he saw fit. Through Billy’s messages on Sunday after Sunday he called me. I finally listened after all these years and here I am. Billy was encouraging and helpful with ideas for talking to others about raising funds. What types of things I might face being a missionary in the field for a year. And letting me know that coming home will be a shock and it will take time. Start hiding the word away so that when you need a source of comfort you will have it, he said. Remember to take time and really read God’s word, not just skim.
