Little did I know that when I woke up this morning, I would be sharing my testimony with people that didn’t speak english. At a church I had never been to, with a translator.
Last night went really late. When I woke up, I made my way down to the kitchen to talk with my team leader about some crazy nightmares I had that night. I told him that I was climbing this ladder and I could never get to the top because a dark figure kept pushing me back down.
If I haven’t said this already, I’m staying at the BethEl ministry home. I climb a ladder to bed every night here in my bunk. As soon as I told Caleb about my nightmares he said he felt that he needed to read the following to me
Jacob’s Dream at Bethel
10 Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Harran. 11 When he reached a certain place,he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. 12 He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 13 There above it stood the Lord, and he said: “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. 14 Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring. 15 I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. “
16 When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” 17 He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.”
So after hearing that I went back to my coffee and thought “wow, that was strange!”
So we get to church and the two team leaders come up to me and say “Yup, you’re sharing today, God told us you’re up!”
Well, the night before they had asked who felt lead to share some of their testimony. I sat there and looked away, looked down, looked anywhere but in their eyes. I felt called but ignored the calling.
So sitting at church 5 minutes before the service started and having no clue what I was going to say.. I decided I was going to talk about how the Lord has provided for me.
I receive a tap on my shoulder from my world race teammate, Chuck. He said he had a vision of me standing with an umbrella upside down catching all the rain. After I shared my testimony, he shared what his daily devotional had said…. pretty much the exact same thing he told me.
After I was done sharing with the church, the pastor, Mark Blessing, preached on God’s provision.
Coincidence? I think not! God really did call me to share my provision testimony.
So without further ado… check out what happened! I apologize for being super awkward and slow haha… it was early and I was tired and really nervous 🙂
Hey mom, yes, that is your vintage dress I’m wearing, booya!
